Wine Advocate (WA), founded by author and critic Robert Parker, reviews tens of thousands of wines each year, providing consumers with a comprehensive wine review.
In recent years, Ms. Parker has announced her retirement, handing over the editorship of WA to Lisa Perrotti-Brown, a member of her team (often referred to as the “Parker Team”), who leads the Parker team’s wine critics in their own roles, reviewing wines from different regions.
So, who are the members of Parker’s team, and what areas are they responsible for?
Lisa Perotti – Brown:
Born and raised in rural Maine, Lisa Perotty-Brown enrolled in the Wine and Spirit Eon Trust,
WSET) and finally passed the WSET4 (Diploma).
Over the next decade, Lisa moved from one job to another in the English wine trade.
In 2008, Lisa moved to Singapore and began writing a column for WA.
Later that year, Lisa earned her Master of Wine certification through years of study and accumulation, and won the Madame Bollinger Medal for her excellent wine tasting skills.
Since then, she has made a remarkable turn from unknown playwright to master of wine.
In 2013, Parker stepped down as editor-in-chief of WA and was replaced by Lisa.
Born in Los Angeles, Monica moved to Italy with her family when she was 11 years old.
Since her father is a devoted wine lover, it can be said that Monica was raised in the wine culture.
In 2003 Monica became the first Italian-resident correspondent for Wine Enthusiast magazine, and over the next decade she reviewed more than 16,000 wines, and 3 visited many of Italy’s lesser-known regions,
He also wrote a 185-page special issue of Wine Lovers, Italian Wines.
She has won the Silver Grape Leaf award for “Best International Journalist” from the Prestigious Italian Village Committee three times, which is the most times that any individual has won the award.
The famous media outlet Gambero Rosso hailed him as “the outstanding leader of Italy”, an honour rarely given to a non-Italian.
In 2013, Monika became an Italian wine reviewer for the Wine Advocate team, and she hopes that her efforts will help more people appreciate Italy, a wine country with many indigenous grape varieties.
Stephen Rinehart:

Luis Gutierrez has a background in the IT industry, having worked for a large multinational company in Madrid, Spain, for more than 20 years. Wine is his greatest hobby.
He is one of the founding members of the influential Spanish wine media elmundovino.com and a contributor to several wine and food media outlets in Spain, Portugal, Puerto Rico and the UK.
He co-wrote the book “Appreciation of Rioja and the Top Wines of Northwestern Spain”, which won the 2011 Andre Simon Special Recognition Award.
William Kelly’s taste: Burgundy, Beaujolais, Champagne, Madeira and English sparkling wine William Kelly developed his interest in wine while studying at Oxford University.
He previously covered Burgundy for Decanter magazine and worked on wine in California and the Golden Hills of Burgundy.
William Kelly joined WA in 2017 and his previous winemaking experience helped him to taste the wines.

Eileen’s passion for wine continues to motivate her and she is currently studying the WSET4 level course and the Advanced Sommelier certification course offered by the Master Sommeliers Association.
Anthony Muller:

Du’s wine journey began when he went to Cambridge University to study for his PhD after graduating from Oxford.
During his studies, he was captain and coach of the Cambridge Blind Wine Tasting Team and co-authored and regularly revised the Cambridge University Guide to Blind Tasting.
In 2007, Mr. Du moved to Beijing and co-founded Longfeng Wine Consultants with his wife, Zhao Fengyi, the first China-based master of wine.
He has been published many times in international wine magazines and literary journals, and has written three poetry collections.
He obtained the WSET4 Certificate in 2012, started the Master of Wine course in 2015, and achieved the title of Master of Wine in 2019.
Also in 2019, Dumecom joined Parker’s team.
He has been judging Chinese wines for more than a decade and is a regular wine judge in China. He is also interested in fine Australian wines.
