In July 2017, another generation of watchmakers graduated from the “AlHelwig” watchmaking school. They will contribute to the development of the Saxon watchmaking industry and inherit the spirit of the “Alfred Helwig” watchmaking school.
The school, which has trained countless talents for the German watchmaking industry, has endured many twists and turns in the country’s history.

In 1820, he led his students to develop the “flying Tourbillon” for the development of watchmaking industry brought decisive role.
Despite his fame, he remained modest throughout his life, contributing to the development of the German watchmaking industry, and Glashutti proudly named his watchmaking school after him, passing on this decade-old spirit of research and development and originality.
Every subject of the “Alfrede Helwig” school has been carefully studied, carrying the excellence of the original Glashuti heritage over the past hundred years.
The curriculum of the school is not uniform. The learning process covers both theoretical learning and practical exercise.

Every watchmaker has at least three years of professional study, more time to interact with sandpaper, microscopes, machine tools, and more than a decade to become familiar with a skill that brings watches to life with both hands.
It is this dedication that has made Glashutti’s original craftsmanship known around the world.
